UPPER LIMB INJURIES IN ATHLETES Update and Controversies.

Dear Colleagues, Dear Friends,

The Olympic Games are taking place inFrance and also in Paris this summer 2024. So we want to dedicate the Hand Institute symposium 2024 to pathologies of the upper limb in athletes. In addition, the last Hand Institute symposium on this subject dates from 2005 and therefore an update seems necessary. The pathologies of the shoulder, elbow, wrist and hand will be detailed according to the different sports: Ball, Contact, Rackets, Aquatics, Mountain, Mechanical.

Compared to 2005, we will report the progress made in screening, prevention, diagnosis (imaging) and treatments (injections, arthroscopy, minimally invasive) Top athletes will come and testify. Trainers, physiotherapists, sports doctors and surgeons will
tell us about their approach to the pathologies of high-level athletes. During the Symposium, a large international Faculty of experts will report their experience through lectures, technical videos, contradictory debates and discussions with the audience.
