International Symposium on "Elbow stiffness". New dates: 6-7 November 2020

Dear Participant, Dear Partner, Dear Friend,

Due to the COVID-19 outbreak, the International Symposium of the Institut de la Main has been postponed to November 6-7 2020.

The whole Faculty has confirmed participation to these new dates, (except for very few members already committed at these dates),and we are extremely thankful to all of them. We will therefore be able to maintain the high level of quality of the scientific programme.

Dear Colleagues,

The elbow is no more the « forgotten » articulation of orthopedic surgeons. The development of knowledge, the improvement of arthroscopic techniques and the reliability of arthroplasties explain the growing interest for the management of elbow pathologies.

Joint stiffness remains one of the most common complications of elbow pathologies. It can appear early or secondary, during treatment. Sometimes associated with pain or joint instability, its comprehension can be complex as well as its management.

This symposium aims to analyze the physiopathology of elbow contractures, whatever their etiology : inflammatory, post-traumatic, neurological, or degenerative. Through different presentations, video and practical sessions, the experts will share their experience and will propose practical solutions for their therapeutic management. Time for discussion and debate will allow interactive exchanges with colleagues from all over the world.

You are cordially invited to participate to this great inaugural event and to contribute to the success of this first symposium on elbow pathologies.

Looking forward to welcoming you in Paris,
A. Vidil – P. Mansat
